I use design to create value for users and organisations by researching problems, validating assumptions and identifying opportunities. Collaborating with users and making evidence-based decisions, I propose viable solutions that align with business objectives and address user needs.

I apply combinations of agile principles - delivering and learning early, iterating to improve, prioritising focus based on value for users and no design-handovers.

My specialisms are grounded in typography, graphic design, interaction and experience design, user research methodologies and foundational front-end development.

My experience in multi-disciplinary teams with varying degrees of maturity and autonomy allows me to:

• seek clarity for myself and the team through positively challenging and validating assumptions
• lead discovery phases through early research with users and stakeholders
• lead the interaction design that balances form, function, accessibility and technical feasibility
• test implemented solutions across environments
• monitor what we deliver through qualitative and quantitative research

Aside from technical application, I have line-managed, mentored and helped build community of practices.

I have worked on products and services that:

• attracted and on-boarded over 1 million new Co-op members in a highly competitive sector
• alleviate time pressure tasks for Co-op food store colleagues during COVID
• allow people to apply for funding, find support groups and volunteer for charities
• saves money via a design system that reduces inconsistency and establishes the re-use of code
• allow my current organisation to become the largest health research programme in the world
